OK so im confused i understand the basic wiring of subs at 1 ohm and 2 ohms and so on and so on. What i dont get it is what do you do when you want to wire a sub to an odd impedance i guess you would say... Like say i wanted to wire in a kicker 2500.1 to a dual .7 mt, how would you go about doing so? Or if you wanted to wire a 13 w7 to 3 ohms? Which one of the voicecoil options would i use in the voicecoil wiring sticky?

as for a 13w7, it's dual 1.5 so you'd either wire it in parallel for 3 ohms and series for .75 (i think. i'm still confused about which is series and parallel).

And as per the stickies, they are not only good for those particular coil configurations. That theory applies to all "speaker" wiring. I will give ya something that is very useful, if you don't understand, ask and I will explain it. If you have taken ALGII in HS then you should be able to do this.

For wiring in series:

RT=R1+R2+R3+Rn

Where n is any integer representing the resistance of the last coil.

For wiring in parallel

1 / RT = 1 / R1 + 1 / R2 + 1 / Rn

Where n is again, any integer representing the resistance of the last coil.
