wiring a 1ohm fi bl at 1ohm

how would i wire this 1ohm dual voice coil sub, so that it is running at 1 ohm, and not .5ohm or whatever. thanks kevin

You can only run it at .5 ohm or 2 ohms. You could get a second BL and wire both together to 1ohm.

Or run 1 coil on one amp and another amp for the other coil..

ok, so my amp, the sundown sae1000d isnt warentied under 1 ohm, so does anyone have a diagram, or an explanation on how to wire it to 1.5 ohms?

Why don't you just order the D2 BL that way you can wire it to a 1ohm load for your amplifier?

You have three options;

1) wire it to .5ohm and hope impedance rise keeps you on the safe side. You would, however, void your warranty should the amplifier become damaged.

2) Wire it to 2ohm giving you 600w to the subwoofer.

3) Purchase either a different amplifier or another SAE-1000D and run one per coil.

You should have done better planning before purchasing the equipment.

i got the universal option on my sub so im not completely screwed, i can switch out the 1ohm coil for a 2ohm one, but i cant really seem to find where to buy just the coil.
