your thread is over. you have been given the best info by Squeak...

You have three options;
1) wire it to .5ohm and hope impedance rise keeps you on the safe side. You would, however, void your warranty should the amplifier become damaged.

2) Wire it to 2ohm giving you 600w to the subwoofer.

3) Purchase either a different amplifier or another SAE-1000D and run one per coil.

You should have done better planning before purchasing the equipment.

That's because you can't.
You would need to send it in to Scott @ Fi for a complete recone if you wanted to "change" that sub's impedance..

Try possibly e-mailing Scott & see if he'll allow you to return your D1 subwoofer in exchange for a D2 subwoofer (instead of reconing the sub you have)? If you haven't used the subwoofer, this might be a possibility. But ofcourse, is completely up to Scott and his return policy.

like i said, im still open to opinions, i never said there wasnt facts given, are you like trying to start a fight with me, i always thought mods were supposed to like stop fights and stuff. not start them with people actually trying to use a forum for what it is ment for.

some of the things discused could spark someones opinion to be posted, like maybe somone has already sent a sub back to fi, and has an expeirence to share with me so i can make the best choice to fix my situation, or maybe someone has somthing else to help me with, and now this thread is a piece of shit with agruments littered throughout it and noone can read the actual information to post anything that would be positive to getting me to a conclusion. so thanks alot...

you can either get a d2 recone or you can talk to scott about possibly exchanging

 

you cannot wire a dual 1 ohm sub to 1 ohm.

that is a valad responce, why r u telling me to stop? if you are going to actually give me a responce, that is saying that this thread has room for more information, i didnt know that if my electircal is upgraded, that .5 ohms is more achievable, so now tell me why this thread has no more facts to be given if you just gave one, im done with it now, because you people are purposly being dicks, so this is my last post in this topic, you guys can do waht you want with it, i apreciate anyone who gave me information and wasnt an ******* not 30 seconds afterwords for no reason.

I have a some ideas.

1.) Get another BL and wire them both to 1 ohm.

2.)Upgrade your electrical system to run the sundown @ .5 ohms. Everyone knows it can handle it if you have the electrical system.

3.) Recone it to a dual 2 ohm.

4.) Ask for an exchange.

5.) Sell this and buy a new BL that is dual 1 ohm.

6.) Sell this and buy a new BL that is dual 2 ohm.

7.) The sub can only be wired to .5 or 2 ohms.

8.) Run your amp at 2 ohms.

9.) Get a dual 2 ohm and run it at 4ohms.

10.) Get a dual 2 ohm and run it at 1 ohms.

If you want to upgrade your electrical, you can upgrade your alternator, battery, and do a Big 3 wire upgrade. Just search for these and you will have some answers.
