Huge kikeck pkd1 wiring kit problem pleae help

Hi everyone, I purchased a kicker pkd1 expecting to have a smooth install since I have done this many times. I opened up the kit and cut the wire at the marked location that kicker has designated about 18 inches from the battery for the inline fuse. After cutting the wire and stripping some of the boot off the end, I realized that the inline fuse kicker included cannot possibly fit more than 4 gauge wire. I mean the input and output on the inline fuse holder appears to be an 8 gauge opening with a 4 gauge barely fitting. This kit is supposed to handle 0 gauge wire and 4 gauge barely fits. Now I am not retarded and have used wiring kits many times before. This just can't be happening. To top it off the 2 distribution blocks seem to have a 4 gauge and 8 gauge input as well. I have tried everything and the only way to fit the freaking 0 gauge in is to literally cut half the strands off essentially making the wire a much smaller gauge completely defeating the purpose of having 0 gauge. I was wondering if someone that has used the PKD1 wiring kit can tell me what they had to do to make these connections. Please help!!! Thanks so much in advance.

In a nutshell, I know people on here have used this kit and I was wondering what they had to do to the 0 gauge wire to fit it into the inline fuse holder. I can't get it in and I feel there is a chance the wrong equipment was included in my kit. What do you guys think?

pretty sure your just doing something wrong

are you using the right one?

What exactly is the 4 gauge bushing. The actual plastic external cover which covers the entire metal frame of the fuseholder has too small a hole for 0 gauge. It is not just the metal that is too small but the plastic as well. I have tried everything and it just wont fit close to 0 gauge. Does anyone who actually used this remember what exactly they had to do to get this working. I mean I used a 0 gauge streetwires kit a week ago on another car and everything went smooth. I hope someone can help.

What metal sleeve are you referring to? I have the thing in my hand and when you remove the plastic top cover, all there is is a 300 amp fuse in there with the screws that allow you too tighten the wire in place. Everything seems to be one big block of metal.

****, you guys are so freaking helpful. To tell you the truth, I got this delivered a little earlier today, but now I decided to do some prep work for my install by cutting the wire and attaching the fuse holder. I don't usually drink but tonight I had a few with some friends and I am a little tipsy. That is why I forgot to pull all that crap out. You guys reminded me and everything is resolved now. I didn't see that rubber grommet thingy which needed to be removed. Once I did that, everything worked perfectly. Thank you so much for the help and this forum is a lifesaver.
