wining nose through speakers

alternator whine. i have it a little right now as well. it'll be gone friday when i get my new rca cables. i did some ghetto shielding on my current cheapo ones and it almost killed the noise. the answer seems to be quality shielded ones for me.

but first check all your grounds. at the amps(s) and HU. then try rerouting your rca's away from any vehicle wiring.

9 out of 10 times the issue is either a poor headunit ground or poor amplifier ground.

Thoroughly investigate this before spending any money on anything. Don't buy new RCA's/etc until you have actually isolated it down to those being the problem. There are dozens of issues that it could be, none of which require the purchase of new wires.

yea it's usually not rca's, but usually a ground issue. for me this time it is the wires though. i had REAL BAD whine and noise until i wrapped like 90% of my rca's in an aluminum foil tape. it didn't kill the noise 100% but it's barely audible now. and tomorrow when i get my new KnuKonceptz rca's the noise should be gone. i'll report back once i get them in and see. but i'm expecting the noise to be gone completely.

yea please let me know how those rca work and how much also does the actual hu have to be grounded or just the wire from the hu?
ok. i know thats what my problem is, doesn't mean your probem has the same cause though. i got 6 channels of rca cable 4 meters in legnth each from knukonceptz (their krystal kable) for $50 shipped. try grounding the hu all kinds of different ways to see if the problem goes away or worsens.

pray u didnt blow the pico fuse
this fuse can it not be replaced?

if it was blown would you get sound from the speaker wires on the hu?

i have an extra hu and noise will come through the rca's but not the speaker wires
