Will this combo be good?

Bought a pdx 1.1000 to go with 2 alpine swr1043d's. I'll have them wired to 4 ohms. Has anyone actually ran "1000w rms to these subs all day long?"

was running 1500 rms all day long to a pair of argggghhhh 12's

those subs are rated rms is 600/each. so throwing only 500/each is nothin. their thermal load is 900/each so you could even throw 800/each and still not have a problem.

Oh **** I thought it would be 1000w to each. Oh well.. Well I also have a kicker zx750 so I could wire 1 amp to each sub

personally i would sell both amps and get a good 1.5 to 2 k amp and be done with it.

Lol well I just bought the amp about an hour ago and haven't even received the amp or subs yet.

You cant run different amps to the subs. It will cause issues. You could run one amp to each sub if they were the exact same amps and you strapped them.

Im sure he figured we would all be jealous becase it was super expensive alpine gear, so he wanted to try and impress us before hand

Yep that was it, because I really care to impress you with a $300 amp. I'm more of a fast car kind of guy. Don't really know a whole lot about stereo equipment.

Eh its too late for that, maybe I'll put it in my car since I've been meaning to put a stereo in it too and don't want to add a whole lot of weight anyway.
