for a box design for 2 05 xxx 15's want it to be 4 cubes ea(internal)tuned to 27hz,subs up port back within these requirements 48" 33" 17" with around 130 sq in of port area...will even throw in an extra $5 if you would give me ur number to call u incase i run in to some hurdles(only if need be...will not ask for it until i need help)also u have to have some refs on here...its an easy way to make some money for some something i know im too lazy to look up lol...lmk asap

4 cubes would be choking a pair of XXX and tuned that low in that size box with that much port area would be rough fitting into the dimensions listed. You'd probably get alot better performance out of just 1 in an optimal enclosure, and for 27Hz, I recommend flat response and low tuning like that. 35Hz will get louder but the drop off rate and 3dB down point will cause lack of the low extension the 05 XXX has potential for. IMO, 4 cubes @ 27Hz would sound very nice with only one and you don't run the risk of listening fatigue caused by non-flat response. PS, the lower you tune it, the better control the sub will have during high excursion and you wont run the risk of snapping a lead like som many have on the 05's
so ur saying 27hz is ideal or just better than the 35hz which i know is kinda high...

Those dimensions leave 4.2 cubes that can be displaced by port and bracing if using double face which I would highly recommend if you're gonna throw the power these like at them. How much clearance does that leave between port exits and rear doors? you never want to allow less space between the ports and rear than the smallest nominal diameter of the port and preferably more because of a loading affect it will cause and the cabin gain will be affected so your tuning freq seems adversely effected. I don't have TSP's but I could whip you up a box with probably +/- .5dB 2?Hz---> 80Hz

In my opinion, 27Hz is better if your looking for SQ, and given that your using good quailty woofers SQL is very possible. 35Hz can seem "boomy" and will usually not play below 30-32Hz before a sharp dropoff, not so bad in the case of lower fs higher qts drivers such as yours, but IMO yes, 27Hz is the way to go.

So much for keeing port area nominal, lol no bracing?? Whats the vent mach and first port resonance on that thing? What does the tuned freq actually end up being with that massive still air mass in the corner back there?

the port will be about 10 inches from the rear door...also what dimensions leave 4.2 cubes...im truing to do 8 cubes (internal)before port and sub displacement...

I was saying the dimensions given in the intro to the thread leave that much if that entire size is used. I'm working you up a plan based on a modified HDC3-15A enclosure that shuld suit your needs and sound extremely good and have output in the upper 140's and a usable response form 23Hz to around 70Hz maybe even 80 depending on the LE of the XXX's and be +/- 1.5dB from 26Hz - 73Hz with a 10dB down of around 19Hz. Gimme 20 minutes, or call me now via number PM'd

I wanna see that tested on a TL

Sounds like a TTB slogan right there.

I want to see a 148 at 73hz..........than a 146.5 @ 23hz

And if youd really like to see a system do that, lol. look up the king of bass, tommy would be happy to do that for ya.
Im almost POSITIVE Tommy McKinnie could not do with in 1.5db from 73hz too 23hz

And what does his system have to do with you saying you could do that with this guys?

phill has a TL and knows his shit.hes a no BS kinda guy!
dont be offended....
Well you can prove that statement he said?

If not, no need to bump your head in here with only words
