Will my type r's get better with time...?

i just got my type r's a few days ago, and they are not living up to the hype that i have been hearing about them...sure, they are better than what i had before, but they arent doing anything i have heard of them doing for other ppl...maybe its bc i need 2 ga. for my amp (which is on the way) and a big 3 upgrade, but even after all that, will they get that much better. theyre in a 1.25cf/chamber sealed right now, could that be why they are *******...???

If they are "*******" on output.....then yes, that is the problem.

You'll want to port them if you are looking for output.

ok, so how would they sound with 2.5cf per chamber tuned to mid 30's??? ive heard that that might be a little too big.

I have a question...you say you have type R's. Does that mean you have 2? If so could they be wired out of phase? If not, 2 12" in a 1.25 is definatly going to lack on output. 2 10" might be OK, but if all you are wanting is output, go ported.

Only thing I can recommend would be 2 cu.ft. per 12" tuned in the low 30's.

i have 2 type r's, wired for 1 ohm to a bx2005d...pretty sure the phase is right also

2 Rs off of a BX2005D and u arent impressed, sealed or not, anything off that amount of power should get loud.
