Will I need a new battery/alternator??

Hey guys,

So I will be installing my two Sundown SA-12's running off a Sundown SAZ-2000d into my Jeep Cherokee soon. This is my first build so I am quite the novice, but I was wondering if I will need to upgrade my battery or alternator from stock in order for the system to perform correctly?

Probably, depending on your stock alternator and battery. What is the alt's rated amperage? Stock electrical usually can handle up to around 2k without big issues but depending on the age and strength of the electrical system you will probably need a big AGM under the hood and Big 3. I'd definitely do the Big 3 upgrade, though.

I would run at a bare minimum 180 amp alternator and upgrade your front battery at least.
