I'm hearing cd noise through the sub, I just installed a hifonics bxi1206d and it has a HUGE turn on thump, I'm scared its going to break my type r. then its bumping along to the noise of the cd player and it also starts to bump when I switch tracks. It is a pioneer head unit but it doesn't have any alternator whine so I don't know if the hu is the problem. Oh, the volume of the bumping doesn't change regardless of the volume setting. I've tried moving the ground of the amp. anyone know whats up because I can't figure it out.

I sanded it to bare metal. could it be the HU's ground? btw, it didn't do it with my other amp, which was a pioneer...

well I went out and did the pioneer hu fix, no effect, so I unplugged the left rca from the amp when it was playing, it seemed to make it a little worse, so I plugged it back in and unplugged the right rca, and it made 2 big bumps. does that mean its the rca's?

I think so, cause when I turn it on with the rca's plugged in, thump, when i turn it on without them, no thump!
