I am not certain that in a world where both were free, people would chose to go to their PCP over the emergency room.
the ER intake department could just refer them out of the ER and into a pcp.

nonetheless, have you been in an ER lately? Most times it takes a lot longer in the ER than it does at a pcp

surely someone from CANADA can chime in on this one.Theses "protesters" are protesting national health care based on the other countries that have it.Supposedly, you have to wait a long time to get to see a doctor, you get medicine that is NOT quality inspected, and the elderly get leftout completly. Also small buisnesses will have to cover their employees with this government care or else get a hefty fine. This will cause alot of small businesses to lay off people or completely shut down, adding to the record unemployment problems. I hate we have such a divided country,I just want to raise my kids in a good world where we have the freedom to follow our dreams, whatever they may be.buying subs and amps,or dreaming of world travel, I hope this whole econemy dont implode on itself. We owe china too much money to count from all the bonds they hold.hopefully they wont want to cash them in any time soon.

I don't argue on healthcare, because it's not my area of expetise.

The issue with the bonds is that we borrow money to pay interest. It's kind of like a payday lender. As long as we can borrow to cover the interest payment, everything is cool. There is no way for China to present the bonds and demand immediate payment. Loans aren't structured that way anymore....although they were before the great depression.

actually if you are a legal citizen then you have the right to complain it's in the 1st ammendment. Plus he is an elected rep for the whole country as in "we the people" not just the ones that voted! all polititions have forgot that they work for "we the people" and I think that most have forgoten what the constitution says. Now unless your 100% native american then you are an imigrant duh
Native Americans 'immigrated' from Asia across a landbridge or icecap.

They're immigrants, too... **** 'em.

The ER registry cannot tell them to see another hospital or tell them that treating their ailment would be better served by a PCP. It's against state law to do so.

I cannot say that I have been to the ER recently. My ex used to work at one and said the wait is long because of homeless/mental people and people who should have seen a PCP (cold, flu, heartburn, toothache, etc). By law, the ER has to "treat" them, but they just kick the out on the street afterwards.

I am not understanding the time it takes at an ER vs PCP. An ER, is (in theory) immediate care whereas visits with my PCP are usually 3-4 days out. I don't think people are waiting days in the ER, or are they? I don't know.
