so can this thing actually test if you're on drugs right now? or does it work like everything else and go back for as long as the drug is in your system?
edit: rest of the article didnt say shit, so im going to assume it will detect drugs in the system even when your not on them. ****ing lame. great invention, a super expensive piss test without the piss is what it is.
Saliva drug test samples can be collected anytime, anywhere and without the need for special collection facilities. Because each drug test collection can be directly observed, the risk of adulterated samples and chain of custody issues are virtually eliminated. All this translates into MORE DOPERS GOING TO PRISON AND SAFER STREETS FOR THE CHILDREN.

Further it doesn't really matter if they are currently "high" right then or if the drug use took place in the past. States who care about children and protecting society already have laws in place that convict drug users for possession even if they only have drugs in their system.

that is true and a valid point.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I thought It is illegal to drive while impaired, but it is not illegal to have taken drugs. only to possess them. So in other words if I'm a heroine addict and quit one day and get rid of all the heroine and the next day publish a book about it I can't be convicted. Is that right?

Just think of the lives this thing will save by getting those people addicted to lethal drugs like marijuana and crack off the street before they can infect other people with their addiction.
Didn't know the words "addicted" and "lethal" could be used in the same sentence as marijuana //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Not saying he was a great president, what i am saying is after he was out of office he was always doing peace missions and visiting other countries.
Some people are better at kissing *** than others. I send Jimmy Carter on all my peace-keeping missions too.

Some states, least the one i am in, will charge you with possession if you have any drugs in your system. Ingestion is a crime here.

As it should be.

you have a lot to learn ..

Possession if it's in your system.... what do you get charged with? How do they know exactly how much is in you? As long as your all happy with a pretty shitty law. I can hold an ounce of bud, walk down the street and expect only a civil citation.

Hand held drug testing is retarded. Pot stays with you for a couple weeks, atleast. So how would knowing i smoked a joint 3 weeks ago help with my current traffic stop? Also many presciption drugs have amphetamines in them, would **** to look like a druggie and harrassed by the cops for taking your prescribed Adderall. Drug testing at a traffic stop is uterly retarded and a waste of the tax payers money and time. I hope your as excited for the tax hike needed to pay for your department to stock every car, train the officers to use, and to ultimatly hire new tax payer paid officers because suddenly a traffic stop takes that much more time. Instead of focusing on the drunk drivers, and other serious crimes let's test for drugs that could have been taken over a month ago..... good tactics.

how would they figure what to charge you with?

you could of smoked an oz , which is a federal crime in most states , or just a half a gram joint which most police will just let you go if you cooperate. it does stay in your system for 30 days , so how would they know exactly what to charge you with? or would the charge be something like 'use of illegal drugs x amount of weeks ago'. what judge would throw you in jail and have tax payers pay to have someone who was sober at the time arrested/jailed. srsly.

the way our country is in debt , i really wont be surprised if they legalize and tax marijuana. it would be a billion dollar a year industry...

We need to get one of these into EVERY police car in the nation and should be used at EVERY traffic stop. NOTHING is more important than getting these dopers off the streets and into prison.

i fixed that for you. marijuana is not lethal; it is not physically addictive; it impairs hand eye coordination but about 1/100 the amount that alcohol does. unless your some crusader or politician who doesnt need facts to back up their ideas; then i figured id educate

this would be used for a DUI; yes you can get a dui for driving while stoned; its just very hard to prove. i know someone that had gotten a dui for weed. he had abunch of crap in his car; thats how they were able to get the conviction... but i get what your saying; almost all salivia tests work for the 3 days prior to the test; they are by far the most unclear; inexact drug tests available
