Our local news did a report and stated that a good percentage of the cars listed would bring more than $4500 if sold outright.
it will probably turn into a derivatives market like housing did. can't wait until the "clunker bubble" pops.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Apparently they are since the response has been pretty high for the program.
Even if there is an environmental problem, what the hell good does it do for one country to go green, when hundreds of other countries aren't?

Which is why they are cancelling it like a month later?

People might be interested, but then they find out what it takes to get it done, and they are turned off.

Well, then an 87 Suburban. That's my point, my car is worth like 4500 bucks the way it is, so wtf is the point?
they want to destroy gas guzzling vehicles. they don't care about the money persay. it's taxpayer funded. this is a small piece of the global warming fascism movement.

Thats what I don't get, if one country imposes regulations to go green, especially around manufacturing, another underdeveloped nation will gladly pick up any polluting industry and businesses will move there. The world will never be green, the polluting sources will just move around.

global government

while I hear alot of talk about that, I just don't see it happening. Global business sweatshopping and polluting under developed nations though...I see that happening till the end of time
i see a global government within 20 years, just because of the problem you just stated.

I see it being rejected by those with money because they will always want cheap labor and limited regulation on their business. A global government would push regulation businesses wouldn't want.

Unless global gov is headed by the chinese, then we will all be playing with lead painted toys and life will be grand

what does the dealership have to do to kill the engines.....drain the oil and then start them up and hold it to the floor until it blows? who gets to do that job....sounds like fun to me
