I really wish someone would have mentioned the language barrier before i got here...

i might not have come if i had known that no one would be able to understand me and i wouldnt be able to read any of the signs or anything.
korean is really easy to read. study it for a month and then practice as you walk around

Interesting! How did you order your frappacino when you can't speak their language?
Did you like point, or show them someone else's drink? Just wondering with the language barrier and all.

Also throw up a middle finger to them and let us know how it went. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I said what i wanted in english...the lady looked totally confused... so i pointed... then she pointed.. then she pointed to the different sizes... and i pointed to a grande.

Funny how the sizes are the same.

thats what i thought when i read it. shit. its a different country, that alone should tell you its gonna be different... but going there and not EXPECTING a huge barrier???
I dont know what you two are talking about. I bet 95% of the people here wouldn't know that there was a whole other language called korea that they speak and write with here.

I was totally unprepared when i stepped off the plane and couldnt understand anyone or read anything.

Its a good thing the lady at the information desk spoke english and told me what was going on or i still might not know what was up.

She said it happens all the time..

idk about that.. it looks pretty complicated.

Iteawon in Soul near The Youngson Army post. I dont know if I spelled those right since it's been a while.
Seoel and Yongson....and yes, go to Itaewon. Many, many english speakers there and a great place to meet chicks. Try to find a native Korean that speaks english...Korea is an awesome place to explore if you have the right guide

Its actually called Hangul and i knew that before i went there and spent a few years. Remember this....beer is pronounced " Mechjoo" and stay away from kimchi

go to the local market and hold up sighs that specify what you want from them. example if you want to take a shit hold a sigh with a guy shitting in a hole. if you want to eat hold a sigh with a picture of a fork and a plate with food.
if you are hungry...walk around patting your stomach saying "pay-goo-pa"

i went to myeong-dong.. that place seemed like the place to shop... but probably not the place to get deals.

I actually only have $2 us dollars in cash lol.

And wtf is up with only having a 10,000 krw bill.. thats so lame.

I mean thats like less than $10 US dollars.

Cash is way too bulky here..

they need a $100,000 won bill fo' sho'
