Anyway this gas is killing me! Its a 50 mile round trip. This girl wants me to come pick her up(its a garuntee lay and shes fine as hell) but she lives 25 miles away. Id have to pick her up take her back to my place then take her back home.
Not worth it due to high gas prices.

So all in all gas prices are cockblocking me.
she has no car?.. **** that's 100 mile round trip!! **** that!

I can agree with that statement. This really depends on the locality as to where you can reasonably expect for the mineral rights to be conveyed when you purchase your land.
I would expect that many, if not most, land owners go through their whole lives and never even know that they do not own the mineral rights.
Wouldn't they know that when deeds are transferred?

I think that you may have misunderstood what I am saying.
There are many different interests in land that you can own -- but they are all property rights.

Surface rights = property rights.

Mineral rights also = property rights.
I probably did...I was busy at work and quick skimming the thread.

How? If I felt that $10/gal were to be sustained, I'd buy a 50,000 gallon drum and store it offsite somewhere. Unless they are going to put a contraption on my gas tank...then I would fill through an alternative place. If the price increase is due to excessive taxation, people will find alternatives.
I doubt that many people would have the means to build a giant gasoline storage facility and then fill it with gas. I was talking about coops, not individuals. It would be easy to legislate that coops must pay a tax when the gasoline is dispensed.

Actually, gasoline on the futures market is quite cheap....and I have no issue at all borrowing that kind of money.

Problem is...there would be millions doing the same thing as me....lol

And it wouldn't be easy to police the upteenmillion co-ops that would pop up during such a thing. They have a very tough time around here determining who can use off road diesel. They die it a different color...the cops never check.

Please go back for an education. You are like a highschool drop-out trying to keep up on a conversation;)
