Not true...
You may own the land, but you dont always own what is under it. I have seen many many cases where land owners are NOT intitled to the mineral rights under their land.
That is what we were discussing.

He acted like forgoing mineral rights is state law or something.

I think that you may have misunderstood what I am saying.

There are many different interests in land that you can own -- but they are all property rights.

Surface rights = property rights.

Mineral rights also = property rights.

or air rights

But you are a stupid hill billy like me. Although I am unsure if hill billies can be black.

That would be bad *** to own all of the air.
They sell pure oxygen at a gas station near me. I feel bad for the people buyin that shit. I wonder how long it will take for people to realize they can breath really heavily for 30 seconds or so and get the same buzz as you do off pure o2

Indeed. But i am a stupid hill billy. What do I know?
But not all properties have their mineral rights sold.

I don't think anyone would buy the mineral rights to my house, therefore, it is a moot issue.
I can agree with that statement. This really depends on the locality as to where you can reasonably expect for the mineral rights to be conveyed when you purchase your land.

I would expect that many, if not most, land owners go through their whole lives and never even know that they do not own the mineral rights.

I dont know how safe it would be walking home in downtown ogden either:crap:
im no longer in downtown ogden.... and i feal safe as hell weather it be day time night time or meth time. downtown ogden and the surrounding area's are like child's playgrounds compared to downtown cleveland...... now if i still lived in celevland.. that's another story....

Anyway this gas is killing me! Its a 50 mile round trip. This girl wants me to come pick her up(its a garuntee lay and shes fine as hell) but she lives 25 miles away. Id have to pick her up take her back to my place then take her back home.

Not worth it due to high gas prices.

So all in all gas prices are cockblocking me.
