So it gets really fukkin cold here, like -35 and below, and i was wondering if pop machines have heaters in them to keep the pops from freezing in the winter.

****, barely gets that cold here..... and when it does it only lasts for like a week, otherwise -15 to -25 tops

i would think, if its that cold.....what the **** are you going outside to a "soda pop" machine for?

why not just go to the liquor store and pick up a respectable size soda thats guaranteed frozen free?

I had always figured that because soda machines are insulated from the outside heat/cold, they wouldn't be affected too much by the outside being cold as hell as well. Additionally, the compressor and cooling system for the machine wouldn't kick on in the cold, because it doesn't have to combat the heat being taken in by the cooler in the warmer months to do insulation not being 100% efficient. This is how I thought it worked, of course.

If the outside air is colder than the air produced by the AC system of the machine, doesn't that make the AC system a heater? A heater is a devices that takes air and heats it up. -35* to 32* is heating UP.

the a/c has a high and low pressure cut off.

pressure directly correlates to temperature. the a/c wouldnt ever turn on if the temp was too low.

No. The cooling system in the drink machine is run on a thermostat, much like the A/C in your house. When the inside temp of the machine gets above a specified limit, the cooling system kicks on. It won't kick on in -35* weather. Also, I'm not sure exactly how cold those systems can get in favorable conditions, and therefore neither i nor any of us can speculate without having extensive knowledge or first hand experience with the subject at hand.
