this same reasoning is also responsible for my endorsement of amputation requirements for anyone getting on permanent disability. The current system provides incentive for those not truly disabled to fake disability to receive a check.
Requiring anyone wishing to get on permanent disability to amputate their legs would ensure that only the truly disabled would be willing to accept the help.
My quest to ensure an adequate standard of living for those who are truly needy is quite compassionate to the deserving, and can only be called cold when applied to those who don't really need the help but are just lazy. I am unconcerend with the perception of coldness when applied to the lazy.
