i love how faulkton acknowledged the stoners but not the reasonable christians that are pointing out he's making christianity look bad.

in all honesty, this forum (especially the lounge lol) has a good tendacy to bring out the most immature side in alot of us. Even though my blunt tutorial was funny, it wasnt exactly the most mature thing to post. same goes with faulk and his biggorty views and blasphomy of "god". and i quotations that because IMO the god he speaks of isnt the same god i (or many other christians) pray to. i say that on the basis of god/jesus being tolerant....unlike *** here

but back to the main thing im trying to get at. It's very possible faulk isnt as radical as he claims to be. he probly has a disposition against stoners, but he's probly just crying for attentionand this is a good way to go and do that. pissing off the stoners around 4/20 isnt too much worse than when ive made threads using the term "stoner" to directly piss off the conservatives like him. I can at least say i dont drag god into this argument, nor am i biggot......but i too have gotten mentally snagged into the forum and some of the more immature crap i can think of gets posted. it happens to alot of us. Hell its fun half the time when it does happen, thats why this forum is as great as it is. without stupid shit being posted to flame on, this place would be a less entertaining...

as far as terrorism, sinning, and other jibba jabba about pot smoking, it's a cry for attention by fegton. im glad he did it though, because this is one of the first times ina while i've seen smokers and non-smokers unite to argue against biggotry. i doubt faulkton is actually has activily hardcore against gonja as he claims here. if e is, hopefully the rest of his community and church will get to see this immature hateful side him and do what they can to help change his ways. but like i said.....it's probly a cry for attention

I don't even think he's being serious. Most of his posts were too ridiculous to be taken seriously. I skipped the middle 12 or so pages but what I did read sounded like he's trying to be funny or sarcastic.

History. Historical background is what gives organized religions credibility. And why Christianity? For me, it's because all other religions are based around what WE can do. Whereas Christianity is about what a divine being did for us, and there is left but 2 choices for us. Follow or don't.
However, modern cults (mormonism, jehovah's witness, etc.) have gained a following and are now considered and accepted as religions. I can sum it up the easiest by quoting myself "Your beliefs should define your religion, not the other way around." I believe the Bible is Truth and that makes me a Christian. I gather any minor beliefs such as views on alcohol, marijuana, pre-marital ***, etc. from my study of the Bible. I believe as a race, we need to be more open-minded. I feel God is top priority but I'm not going to shun those who don't feel that way. IDK I just feel it's pointless for people to say you're going to hell because of _______.

If everyone looked at religion the way you stated, I wouldn't have a problem it. Today society has interpreted the meaning of religion all wrong. To them, it's either you're in or out, and if you're in, you'll go to heaven. I know atheist people who have better morals that church going folk. Why? Because the majority of people who attend church are the type of people to pursue personal gain. By personal gain I mean the concept of eternal life after death (admittance to heaven) because people need hope, they want the reassurance of something better after life. They don't want there life to end when their heart stops beating. That, in itself, is greed for personal gain, and if I were the gatekeeper of heaven, I wouldn't let any of those folks into heaven despite their attendance record at church. You have to be a follower at heart, not in the head.

There is a big difference in a veinal and mortal sin. While I am sure you consider yourself 'Christian' going to church on Christmas and Easter does not cut it. I suggest you refrain from judging others until you know what you are talking about.
