cost of living in metro detroit is not as high as seattle.Ive experienced the exact opposite. I mean here drivers wave to each other on the fukking highway. Total strangers.. its just customary to wave or nod your head at drivers you pass on the highway or street.
If i could afford to live in a downtown seattle apartment (or any metro) and still have enough cash to live comfortably (eat out, waste money and have fun) i would in a second. But that shit takes a lot more than i could afford.
housing is fairly cheap if you know what areas to look into
a good 3 bedroom house can be had for about 90k
