Ive experienced the exact opposite. I mean here drivers wave to each other on the fukking highway. Total strangers.. its just customary to wave or nod your head at drivers you pass on the highway or street. I bet if you were from the town it would be different. If i could afford to live in a downtown seattle apartment (or any metro) and still have enough cash to live comfortably (eat out, waste money and have fun) i would in a second. But that shit takes a lot more than i could afford.

I'm too close to Columbus to get anything but rude people. I do however take a trip on bike (bicycle) across ohio up to the northern tip and we actually hit towns with populations of about 10. Really nice to see people still living so slowly.

great danes are fukking great dogs.

You do have to have control of them when they are young.. but once you do, they are the most loyal, smart, loving dogs.

So big they don't really do too much.. except sleep and lay around.

Think of life in mayberry (andy griffith), its still like that here. A perfect example is being able to charge things at local stores... how many of you can just go into the pharmacy, grocery, hardware store and just tell them to send you a bill?

Everytime I'm in a big city, I end up getting pissed cause there is too much traffic and too many people. I'll take the middle of nowhere anyday. I'd be a mountain man if I could.

yeah traffic is one thing i certainly don't miss. People think my commute is terrible, but many times in seattle its took me much longer to go 10 miles.
