It probably has alot to do with the dirty wh0re not picking up the d0gsh!t in the fuqin neighborhood, I wouldn't lose a second of sleep if the ****!ng dogs in my neighborhood all died at one time with how many irresponsible b!tches walk their dogs and let them crap all over the place without picking up...
One b!tch doesn't even live in this development, she lives across the street and brings her dog over here to sh!t on our playgrounds without picking up.

well dont blame the dogs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif blame the people and chop off THEIR hands for not using them!! last time i looked, people had more brains than a dog. but then again, this world is fuked up, so it wouldnt surprise me that there are a lot smater than human dogs out there

Tomorrow morning at 9am i have to start going door to door asking people to participate in a survey for my research methods class.

Its going to ****, and i don't want to do it.

We are doing a random multistage cluster sample for a project on alcoholism and stigma. We are looking to see if the medicalization of deviance has an impact on stigma. (hypothesizing that familiarity with the disease concept should lessen stigma)

The worst part is we are supposed to read the entire survey to them and record their responses. Would be a lot easier if we could just hand them the dam thing and let them fill it out.

It sucks that we aren't just doing a god dam availability/convenience sample //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I have never been so glad that I do not live in South Dakota. I would not mind hearing you read the newpaper or perhaps a nice article from the most recent edition of Reader's Digest, but a survey does not sound interesting.

naw it has to be within certain area.

The whole thing is very structured... we divided the city up by voting precincts. then figured out how many blocks were in each district and how many blocks in each district we should sample so that every block has an equal chance at being randomly picked.. Tomorrow we will randomly pick houses on each block that is randomly selected.

Sounds like you're going to have some trouble keeping people's attention during the survey...

In my Criminal Justice Research methods, all we had to do was a Research Proposal.Me>Joo
my research methods teacher > your research methods teacher

We have to do the entire project, from proposal and IRB approval to completion. I will probably learn more.

All sounds pretty arbitrary to me.

arbitrary = subject to individual will or judgment without restriction; contingent solely upon one's discretion: an arbitrary decision.

Random = 1. proceeding, made, or occurring without definite aim, reason, or pattern: the random selection of numbers.

2. Statistics. of or characterizing a process of selection in which each item of a set has an equal probability of being chosen.

Next year (when they offer research methods again) I'm probably going to take 3 credits of independent study in advanced research methods because the the grad program i want to go to has a big emphasis on applied research and rural demographics.

I figure its good to pad my transcripts with above what's required for a BA.
