I bought a deh-p780mp, sirius tuner (refurb), PAC, and a 12 disk changer from sonic electronix.

Everything arrived fairly quickly and was packaged well.

When i tried to install the sirius tuner the piece of shit didnt work. I called sonic electronix and they said someone from their tech department would call me back.. of course they never did //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

So instead of dealing with sonic eletronix's sub par customer service on an exchange i decided to just send the thing into pioneer for repair.

Pioneer said it would be 7-10 days turn around once they got it. They got it over a month ago..and i still dont have the dam thing back.

It was supposed to be delivered on Monday.. well Monday came and it was even on the truck for delivery.. then i get home Monday night and nothing..check the tracking number online and it said some bullshit about not having my correct address or name (good job pioneer)..so i call UPS.. they take the correct info and say it will be dropped off today..i get home... nothing....so i call UPS and they said they just decided to send the mother fcker back to pioneer! There was 1 letter wrong on my name.. and they had the street address of 9th st instead of 8th street..granted it was Pioneers fault.. but come on UPS drops shit off to me all the time.. at least once every few weeks...are they that retarded?! THIS IS A TOWN OF 700 PEOPLE!! WTF?! They coudlnt tell josh phoden... was supposed to be josh rhoden?!!

So i calll pioneer, and after 15 minutes i get a person who says they will reship it once it gets back to cali..i ask if they can just ship another one today...since ive been waiting a month already...nope...

So pioneer sells 'refurbs' that dont fcking work and cant even enter basic info like name and address without messing it up, and Sonic electronics has shit customer service that doesnt call back.

UPS was confused by a simple typo...

**** i posted on how dhl let me down but **** dude...you got *****. I now believe no shipping service is good...would be awesome if a company came up with sending there own freight...one way from there business to your house...I doubt that...but a company that doesnt want these problems...it would help...even using dealers as hubs or something...im not sure but if there was one that send there own freight that would solve everything.

 
You should never send back anything to a manufacturer, you'll be lucky to even get it sent back to you at all much less to the wrong address. Its really Sonic's problem.

Well i sent it to pioneer because of the shit customer service already displayed by SE...and i figured that if the first refurb was no good.. why shoudl the second.. i thought pioneer would at least have their shit together more than SE does..

I was pwned....to the extreme ;(

The whole thing makes me regret ever switching from eclipse to pioneer...I had always ran eclipse before (like since 96 or so)... i will be switching back and buying eclipse auth...(when i can afford it ;( )

Pioneer has no excuse for shipping out refurbs that dont work... i thought refub meant they had inspected it and certified it as working...

 
I just got the 780mp, and they sent me the IP-Bus cable, one thats in between the aux input jack and jack for the wired remote...It does have a set of rca's on the other end, but I'm thinking they sent me the wrong one? I'm trying to just hook up a ipod via a rca connection in the back, should they have sent me the aux input jack "mini plug cable" instead?
