This is probably the scaryest thing in my life...

no joke, for the past 2 days ive had that comercial in my head where its the spelling bee, and the kids have to spell "floccinaucinihilipilification"

i didnt see it on tv or anything i just thought it was a funny word so its stuck in my head.

then out of ****ing no where i check the forums for the first time in almost a week and this is in the top 7 posts.

People are always quick to jump on ebay, and internet sales in general, for the decline of knowledgeable independent car audio shops. I was just wondering what about big box stores? Seems likely stores like best buys, circuit city, and even car toys (nationwide chains that buy in bulk) could also be a reason so many of the little guys find it hard to keep the doors open. Seems like there has been an explosion of these giant stores carrying better and better brands in the last 10 years or so. Maybe im a total jackass who is wrong in every aspect of my argument. What do you think?

i think you are a jackass who is wrong in every aspect of your argument. seriously though, i think its cuz most people dont know jack about car audio and stick to big name brands, if smaller stores sold things like soundsplinter, incriminator audio, adire, etc, no one would buy because they had never heard of them. and usually the only places to get those brands is the internet. go ebay!
