i believe mccain spent 5 years in a prison camp, even though his father would've gotten him out. mccain refused because other guys had been there longer. dems no longer have the wiggle room to bring up kerry's war heroism. not that any of it makes a person a good president anyway, but it obviously isn't a big factor with liberals at the voting box.
