I've had about 30 hours in a C130 sim. That big ***** is fun! Full motion! And another 20 in the A10, no full motion:crap: . How many times has the F15 actually been challenged in Air to Air combat?? Not many, however, the Mig 29 has been used by many countries in many different conflicts, so yeah, it kinda had a better chance of getting shot down.

And we will NEVER have a war without the Washington interference. This is the reason why we need to be weary of countries such as China, and Russia, and Israel. I know, they're our friends now, but they could put a serious whoopin on us if they felt the need. The problem is we try to be "ethical" in our war fighting, whereas our enemies, more often than not, couldn't care less about ethics, they're more concerned with victory.

Exactly why we need to just set up another brutal dictatorship in Iraq. Let someone else do the dirty work and get that place in check.

We're not going to be able to force them into being a functional democracy, and even if we could it wouldn't be worth the cost.

Are you military? How did you get your sim time? If our military for one month fought with the brutality the insurgents fought with, I don't think they'd screw with us much afterward. I think were being too soft on 'em. Give 'em hell...

And I agree, if we shot first, and asked questions MUCH later, the terrorist morons would be running home to momma. I think the problem is that we're not using their "religious beliefs" against them. As far as they're concerned, if we kill them, or they blow themselves up, they're going to paradise. What I propose is we use their beliefs against them. Did you know that if a Muslim comes in contact with a pig in any way shape or form, according to the Koran, they go straight to hell? I say we round up as many as we can get our hands on, and spray them down with pig's blood, then unleash the firing squad on them. And televise it. Also, every one we kill in normal combat operations, we should bury with the remains of a pig, and televise that too. Use their beliefs against them, they will eventually get the hint that we aren't screwing around.

it just makes no sense to me, we cant afford to offer healthcare to everyone in the greatest nation in the history of the world, yet we can afford to force democracy upon some shitty sand filled nation on the other side of the world?!

Nation building isn't our job and isn't worth the financial cost, or more importantly the human cost.

Awesome, I'm set to join the Navy but did a flight eval with the Army. A guy at the test center was cool enough to let me take a spin in the F15 a couple of times. I don't remember the name of the place but it was up in Pensacola.

Rules of engament, that 1 thing alone gets under my skin.

After I talked to a few of my friends that have served (and are going back soon) its the thing that I know I wont follow should I go.

If I see someone with a rifle (or any weapon) pointed in my general direction, tell you what, im not going to wait until I see muzzle flash to fire on them. Ofcourse common sense is a giant factor in this, but im sure if usually obvious that if someone with an RPG is standing looking at your location, you know what hes going to do next.

If its a choice between me or the other guy, im not going to wait for them to make that decision for me. If thats the case id just be sent right back here for war commiting a war crime, or whatever you want to call it.
