It is not about what you have to hide; it is about maintaining the constitution and the rights of the people. There is nothing wrong with wiretapping with merit, but allowing any entity (government or otherwise) to infringe upon your rights without the oversight of the people (or their court) is wrong any way you cut it.
edit: To stay on topic, I have used a ton of different browsers (including some of the bad 3D ones). I consider IE, FF, Opera, Safari, and Maxthon to be the upper-class of browsers. I would still be using Opera 24/7 if it weren't for some site compatibility and rendering problems (minor, but irritating when it happens). I use FF most frequently and, in my opinion, it is best used with as few add-ons as possible. Right now, I have FireFTP, Web Developer, an RSS client (Sage), and the Graphing Calculator Toolbar.
Safari is an ok browser. It doesn't really offer much for me than any other browsers are capable of.
