The world hasn't changed THAT much. Mother nature still does her thing and animals(including humans) still learn to adapt through adversity. If you had to, the solutions would come to you. Fact is you don't have to and things are just fine for you the way it is.
This is why I moved to Florida. I wanted to be right where Titor will be after Civil war, so I can do citrus trade with him along the gulf coast.

I'm close to the mountains so that's where I'll run. I will be an intricate asset in the reconstruction of western trade routes through the Sierras.
