Naw, it was inspired more by a friend who taught english in Korea for a year than it was by any Koreans i met at school.
I'm basically really bored of this secluded country life here and want to get back to an urban area for a while. Seoul, one of the most densely populated cities in the world, seems like a good match. Plus i really want to experience life and culture outside of western civilization.
KU seems to really want people who speak English, the dorms are pimp, and they actually offer free housing and a monthly stipend based on academic performance at your home university.
I think i have a decent shot at having them pay me to come live in Korea. If i cant get into KU i probably wont go, because at this point in life i dont want to live in a regular Korean dorm room with 3 strangers and being forced to share a bathroom with 1900 smelly asians.
