No, I reacted like that because people have been saying for months "He's Muslim! Don't vote for him!" and he has come out publicly several times saying "No, I'm not Muslim" and yet he still gets asked that question in interviews. It's getting really old.
It was because of a spam email that went out claiming he was muslim, supported terrorism, and a bunch of other BS

In all seriousness, if I was "king" or "commander" or whathaveyou, I would dissolve most govt agencies...(besides minimal defense) and have them compete for tax dollars...and Americans choose how they allocate the tax dollars.

Federal Agencies have a program called Combined Federal Campaign where various charities compete over donations...I'd like to see the govt agencies do something similar.

Think ensure the health of the poor is important, contribute to that organization

Think space travel is important, contribute to that

Think feeding starving people overseas is important, contribute to that.

The agencies will become more competitive and effecient if they have to compete for funding...plus, I think the goals of the American people will be better achieved.

I've always thought alot of my tax dollars were basically government forced charity, I'd like to have some more say in who receives my "forced charity"

I'm going to hold you to that.

No matter how bad they fuk up, the country will still be better off because we wont have such a fat loser!

You're an idiot.

I was broke, but now I am not.
I started out working under the table at a BBQ resturant at 15 to make wages to invest. Later, I undercut an illegal immigrant to clean rest rooms at a truck stop to make money to invest. With the the exception of 2007 (because I went crazy or something) I have always invested more than 50% of my income. I make decisions to support that investment allocation. I live at home and pay my parents a nominal rent. If they kicked me out, I would live in the cheapest place I could find in order to continue my investment strategy.

Does the govt taxing my investments 3 times hurt me, not really. It's been that way for a while...

The poor are poor because they do not have discipline. I have never met a poor person that was simultaneously highly disciplined with goals.
I can agree to that to some extent, although it is highly generalized.

The current state of affairs, though, leaves no reason to become motivated.

It's just like they cut the check to pieces of shit.

I'm not broke either, I make a decent wage and save every bit I can. There's people who make their living off the welfare system. Then again there are people who are unfortunate.

It would be ignorant to believe that everyone who is poor is poor because of some lack of discipline. I would say a fair amount are, but not all.

I get credit card offers, and they offer me rates of like 22%, and a default of 34%.

Say I have a mortgage and family, I get injured on the job and am out of commission for 6 months. They don't pay me comp.

WIth the average guy that puts him out $25K+. If you put your mortgage on credit with a 20% rate on it you're looking at some serious debt.

Is this something that is highly common, no, but is it a general example of things that do happen to people, sure.

I don't care how many toilets you scrubbed, or tables you bussed, things do happen to people. Things outside of their will. Peoples parents die without life insurance. People get hurt at work. People get divorced. These all affect peoples lives.

What experiences do you have with the types of occurences?

Yeah, I cashed it the last time they offered something like this about 15 years or so ago. I blew it on chicks and booze (I was in college at the time).
I think its kinda a bandaid stopgap implmentation for previous bad economic policy in general.
I know the way that is, when you get stuff you don't have to necessarily work for.

It's hard to take care of.
