I figured it was the meter.

You can get a cheapo one from harbor freight.

it just wont be 100% accurate.

You don't need 100% accuracy if you're just using it to wire your sub.

mine was $8 and is messed up thats the point.. theres a craftsman on ebay $20.. i'll look around see what they are at advance i could get that 12 hrs from now..

Check out the Fluke 789 DMM. Its nice.

Mine was a little more than that and some change. Still works fine....and the probes tips don't fall out.

yeah just checked advance don't know about those either.. i just crimped spade terminal on to the meter for a probe and it tested a 1.5v battery right.. so idk if it's really meter that's problem yet..

That meter is junk. Invest 70-100 bucks in a decent meter ..... ffs ...

i tested with better meter at advance showed 2.3 ohms.. i bought 1 only $20 but it shows .2 when i touch probes together not 1.3-1.5 so big improvement.. yeah i sure won't gonna email frank about it until i tested lot more.. i didn't think this heavy sub would be this loud in tiny box/port at 4 ohms..
