Why do you need 2 fuses inbetween batteries?

I did search, but just a quick question. Why do you need to have two fuses inbetween the two batteries? Will the voltage rise that much after the first fuse?
It's a saftey issue. What happens if either end of a un-fused wire comes loose while still connected to one of the batteries?

Ah, now that makes sense. Wouldn't you want the fuses inbetween batteries to be big as possible then?

What happens if the wire comes out of the fuse, and the other end is still hooked up to the battery, there would be no protection then either right?

The amp doesn't store power so it doesn't matter. You only fuse the side of wires that store/generate/put out power.

The fuse in between the batteries should be sized to the max amount of current the wire can handle. For 1/0 I think it's around 300a

I meant to say the battery on my other post. If the wire comes out of the fuse and the other end is still connected to the battery, couldn't that cause a fire???

you can sit here all day and play what if this what if that. if you dont feel like spending 20 dollars for a 2nd fuse holder and fuse to feel alittle better. then dont
You can sit here all day not comprehending what I posted too...

I said even if you have those two fuses what security does that give that the wire isn't going to come out of the fuse, and then start a fire that way? How can someone say your wiring will come out of the battery terminal, but not the fuse??? That's all I'm asking.

Not only that I've recently seen people saying you should fuse your Big 3. So where does it stop, and when should it start?

that is where proper installation comes in. we can not tell you that its not possible.
