OK guys I've got a 97 acura cl shes got the big 3 done (4 gauge only cuz couldn't get 0 without having to order it)and a 200a breaker, i've got a alphasonik pma1200da going at a dd 9515 dual 2 wired to 1. At idle with young jeezy welcome back playing (non stop bass) im only dropping to 12.40 at the batt. I know it would be best but is it really needed to get a high output alt and maybe another batt since im not dropping to low? Sorry if this is a stupid ? but just wondering

ok ill check them tomorrow at the amp if I added another batt without adding a bigger alt that would be pointless right? the local car audio shop has batts for 100 800 cca off brand but wonder if its ok or not

What are the amp hour ratings on that battery....And just adding a second battery is a good option without having to drop alot on an alt...

731 cranking at 32 deg 585 cold crank 110 reserve cranking amps. wow small but it's just a 6 banger. I've been thinking a yel or red top.

Those are cranking amps you need to also look at amp hour ratings the more the better...If you could get a deka intimidator 9a31 that would be awesome as they are a great battery for the money..

music is not a test tone so it is not a constant drain but if your batteries are too small what drain there is can take away its effectiveness if you are listening loud over an extended period of time.
