why do my FUSE keep getting blown????

i ran that same amp but the older model for a month with 8 guage wiring and all was good but for 900 RMS i probably would run at least 4 guage. . so you may have a different problem. are you replacing with the same size fuses? how did you set the gain? mabye you have a short in your wire some where?

humm but which wire you think can be shorted?? the ones on the sub inside the box?? i havent changed the wireing of the coils, just the wires from the outer sealed box to the amp, yeah everytime i replace a fuse i put the same kind 40a. well the bass boost isnt high maybe half way , and the other stuff 75%.

it's a 40 amp fuse up front? and the amp has 2 30's? or is that just wat i see?
yes , thats correct, a 40a fuse in the front and the amp have 2 X 30A , is that okay??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

i would recommend 4 gauge wire as it will flow easier but your main problem is you put a 40 amp fuse on a line that has an amp that wants 60 amps
lol there it is....

2x30a fuses at the amp, equals 60 amps max of drawn power by the amp, so its probably a good thing to have at least that much power available from the battery, but with a 40a fuse powering the amp, it pops it everytime it wants more juice...

you gotta keep that baby fed.
