For one, where I'm from, guys drive trucks and girls drive cars. Simple as that. Maybe it's different everywhere else, but that's how the south does it. Trucks or big SUV's.
Secondly, with a car you have to deal with more bad vibration problems. Trunks will ALWAYS rattle, while on the other hand an SUV or truck will rattle much less.

I'm just curious. Not bashing anyone with a car, just wondering why you chose them. If you had no choice (first car, no money, etc.), that's cool. But if I had a choice, it wouldn't be a car.

I got me a car and a truck both. Car to put most of the miles on and to have the system in. The truck when i like to go play in the mud or take my jet skis out.

As for why I chose a Caprice, that's easy.... I desperately want to be a gangsta, so the heavy chevy was the only route for me.

ACTUALLY, when I started this thread, I asked the question based mainly on vibration problems. EVERY car I've ever heard that had a system in it had bad rattles.

I have only heard ONE truck/SUV around here that rattled bad.

So that's why I asked. I threw in the gender reference just to give you guys a glimpse of the south. No harm meant.

SUV's would rattle less simply based on the fact that the pressure from the bass has more air to travel through, as opposed to a sealed trunk. Fact of the matter is, ANYTHING you put a sub in is going to rattle...its just a matter of not being a dumbass and knowing how to properly reduce or eliminate it.

and as for the Truck vs. Car battle, its all just personal taste. I can think of 100's of reasons why i wouldn't want a Truck or SUV...but being all macho about whos driving what is about as ignorant as trying to teach a fish to walk.
