i kno you guys are not bashing the south. I have no idea what this bama boy is talking about. DO you mean to tell me that u have never seen an african american male in a 1984-90 chevy caprice. I mean in the south we love to ride oldschool cars. But this man only driving trucks thing that must be only on ur block. cus lots of women around here have hummers, and tahoe's, navi's and jeeps.

You have a point though, and I didn't mean to make this thread into a whole north vs. south, or masculine vs. feminine war, for those of you who decided to take ignorant cheap shots. I just wanted to know why the who people here who drive cars do so. And for the most part, I got what I wanted. Fuel economy seems to be important, as are several other things.

i drive a car, because;

A- i like cars. i liek them alot.

b- gas = $2.30+ here in upstate NY.

C- my car is a 2001 saturn, and was only $1000

d- SUV's are ugly

E- i dont need an SUV, i live in the suburbs and the city, and parking is usually a premium

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee. But I disagree with the guys drive trucks and SUV's and girls drive cars... Thas retarded! First car was a 1990 grand am! I loved it! cuz it was my car! But now i have something that isnt so bad...

First of all, insinuating that not driving a truck is feminine is rediculous.

Second, trucks...

Cost more, because rednecks MUST have them (i know for a fact- auto auctions trucks bring double or more what a comparable car would)-

Have usually minimal room for audio gear-

Unless modified lean in the corners like no other-

Are impractical for the commuter type altogether.

I drive a POS Ford Escort Wagon. I can still haul horse feed and hay bales, inflate an air mattress for road trips, and fit 8 cube sub boxes etc and not lose a dime to high insurance costs that trucks have.

Yes- I live in a town that you are considered either gay or stupid if you don't drive a truck and have a penis. But that doesn't bother me, can't hear them over my Bhrama.

Basically he is asking the difference between trucks and cars... which obviously he knows (well hopefully) so his post comes off as having the alterior motive of saying cars are feminine, I'd bet thats how alot of us interpreted it.

Im a 16 year old driving a 17 year old station wagon. But I dont give a flying F*ck about what anyone thinks of it. It's in great shape, only has 75,000 miles, has no problems (except the heater doesnt work), and has one of the nicest red interiors youve ever seen. I can mod it all I want and barely pay any insurance for it. I go to a private school where most kids drive G-35, M3's, and 2000-GT and the like. Bunch of spoiled lil *****es.
