Who's system first made you want to get into car audio

For me it was a buddy of mine,he had a ext.cab Ranger,it had two jbl 12's in it,it was really loud,come to find out later he only had about 400rms going to each sub,but back then it seemed like a couple thousand,they must have been really efficient subs,he had a Directed 700d which i bought from him later on,but yeah,that was the first ride that i rode in that set off alarms,pissed people off from long distances,and made my chest hurt,now he's got two kids,no bump,and a buick..(and a ***** of a wife),what a difference a day makes,anyway,so what kinda system got you guy's interested?

2 MMats 12"s in a civic on a Hifonics 2000 watt amp, the brutus. IT was pretty sick, its the guy that works at my local shop.

Whose system? No one's. I've been involved with audio for quite a while, mostly as a means to an end complimenting a passion for music.

My uncle was always messing wit systems when i would go chill wit him when i was younger and then when i got old enough to get my license and my own ride i got a system.

did HT growing up... had tons of HT equitpment.... went off and had my own home recording studio... and then as soon as i got a car... bam... started car audio.

my cousin had a grand am back in the 80's with 2 15's and 2 12's. Coustic amps. Kenwood deck and eq. Was very loud for the time.

Sweet,yeah they used to go crazy in the 80's,speakers everywhere,under seats,in the roof,everything, there is a legend around here from 20 years back,they said he had 4 15' cerwin vega's,and 4 12's(forgot the name),but i heard he was doing hair tricks in the 80's!, i never saw the ride,but wish i had!

A close friend of mine that has since passed away from cancer. He was 21 and we had been friends since we were 5 yrs old. He had two 12" LANZAR Pro subs w/an Acoustic 4 ch amp and Infinity coax's in the front. The amp was a 50 x 4, chs 1/2 went to the coax's, chs 3/4 bridged to the subs w/about 100 watts to each sub and that thing was loud.

On my 18th B-Day, my grandparents gave me what was left in my account after intrest minus B-Days and Xmas. Every grandchild got $1000 when we were born and what was left on the 18th B-Day we got. Turned out to be $850.00

That got me two 12" LANZAR Pros as well and a LANZAR LXR200 amp. Been hooked ever since. That was back in '92.
