the stroker can sound great... but it cant keep up with the type R musically, at least not at high volume. The stroker just sounds NASTY once it gets moving.

But... put the stroker in a giant low tuned box and it takes literally no power to get it LOUD... one of the most effeciant drivers I have ever used.

I am not into sarcasm. Too old for the games. If you said "you must be new here", I might have let it go because of the post count. Since you said "you must be new", I felt the need to defend myself. I am sorry that I came across very defensively about it. It was late and I was on all my forums most of the day. If I really thought more about it I would have said "What exactly do you mean by that?"

Just saying: "Type R >(owns)all" is just a complete load of BS! NO sub >(owns)all. I am not saying it is not a good sub, but the bold statement you made is false.

I'd venture to say the R will get louder with more power, and probably be on par with the vega at lower power levels.

I will see if others chime in on this before I say anything more.

I don't think too many used the Vega back in the day because of the way it looked (red V-flex surround). Most like the traditional look, but sometimes sacrificing a great loud sub. They were used in dB Drag.
