Which way should my sub be facing?

i had mine port/sub facing the rear forever but i moved the port to the side and faced the sub up and like it better. shakes the car alot more now also. nice car BTW, you got the 6 speed?

I have a bmw 540i, with 1 Elemental designs OV 16. I've built a wedge shaped box for it. So, my question is, should the sub be facing towards the front of the car facing through the ski pass, or should it be facing the rear of the trunk? Thanks
Just did one of these last week, also... boss owns one.

Either face it towards the trunk, or face it through the ski-pass and completely panel it off from the rear of the trunk.

I have an automatic now, but this summer I'm hopefully going to do a remote mount turbo setup, and will either swap a 5 or a 6 speed in. Which ever is available. 6 speeds are very rare. It should be the second e34 turbo 540i ever. 400+bhp!

Well, I switched my sub around and it sounds about the same. I still have alot of air leaks to fix though.

bass is generally non-directional, so the contours of your cars interior will be the only determining factor when it comes to any differences.

My buddy has a 12w7 in his 3-series, right up in the ski hole, and its hits pretty **** hard.

yea do either of what ngsm said

might give you some ideas

bass may be non directional but like you said the determining factor is your car and with bimmers it can be a ***** since theres a shitload of deadening btwn the rear seats and the trunk from factory so you could lose alot of sound there if it isnt positioned correctly.
