Which top-of-the-line Sub to go?!

If you liked the DD95's alot why not give the 3510's a shot I'm told they are a bit more musical then a 95 as far as lowend but then again my buddy had a custom 95 with a bit softer spiders that was great.Treo SSX is also a good option another setup a buddy raves about is a Elipse TI pro 15 with 2kw on it ported.

next thing stereo integreties are only available 12" and up and only dual 2ohms. i need 10", dual 4 or 1 ohms.

where can i get information about that aura NS sub?

my dealer runs a pair of tsx's off of 9.0's all day long. a tsx will take the power. i was running a single tsx 10" ported wtih my 1100.1, and it was fine. 9.0 is 2200 watts rms.

well, rated 2200....benchmarked in a german caraudiomag to 3600 but i dont know at which distortion level. mine shows 2200...each channel with music (well you cannot even hear 10% THD with a sub)

i had my friends SSi 12.22 at my 9.0 and it was more power the SSi could handle.

anyways, ive had some subs and if you want SQ and SPL you have to pick from the top shelf.

Anyone who has had some Orion H2 10"? I tend to pick orion or audioque :-/

audioque is cheaper than 3500 series and better.

Quad Coil, 2500 watts RMS for the 12 - 3000 watts RMS for the 15

Both field reconable, just a drop in replacement....the recones go for $120

How many subs can you think of that has a true carbon fiber woven cone?

a 9.0 on a single ssi, thats too much, but a pair of ssi's love the 9.0, as well as a pair of tsx's.

hm, i would perhaps consider getting even a 2006 XXX 12" and see it MOVE.

i have to concentrate on listening to rap right then i guess :-/

older XXX were not very "quick" to say it in a pleasant way....

what about IDMax 10"?! or next thing that got onto my mind is to use two 12" in a sealed enclosure. two IDMax 12v3 duel 4 ohms perhaps.

e.g. i do not like a JL 13w7 at all! i listend to it in a sealed enclosure powered by a Rockford T15002 and it sounded like shit. way too "muddy". only loud. well as loud as my DD9512 but it lacked the punch.

if the 9512 lacked punch, and the w7 didnt sound at least decent, then the install is off. you have good power, maybe adjustments were off and the enclosure wasnt correct for the woofer.

yeah, try pumping 3kw of power into one of those CDT subs, and you'll end up having that carbon fiber cone in your lap in just seconds.

it was meant the other way around. compared to my punchy 9512 the 13W7 in the closed box had no punch. it did not have the fast response that my 9512 had. and T15002 is a **** good amp too. nice SQ and power. 13w7 was in around 2.5-3 cubes closed.

uh, I think he wanted at least a shread of SQ, lol. I wasnt impressed with the Atomic APX I had, it was such a power hog.
