More sub/amp questions-L7

Im problably gonna get this amp ( http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14965 ) to power 1 15" L7. Im a noob to car audio and have a few questions.

It says "Bass remote included," does anybody know if this is to adjust bass boost or the gain on it?

Should I buy a 2 or 4 ohm sub to run it at 1 ohm?

Is this a good amp? A lot of people say I should go more than 1000 watts rms on the L7, but I dont know of any other good cheap amps to power it that come with a warrenty.

definately not the boss, or really the hifonics. if u go w/ the mb quart and a single 15 L7, get the 2 ohm so u can wire to 1ohm load on the amp

but i agree in that the 15L7 can take way more than 1000 watts

like the above never buy boss amp they just arent any good.

put wait i did see a boss amp throw what they say they do once, when a lightening bolt hit the lightening rod attached to the amp:naughty:

I think the ED nine.1 is around $300 shipped, but I don't know if it stacks up against the MB Quart (never dealt with any of their amps).

L7 being pushed by the audiobahn a8000t and shit pounds! actually i have one pushin an L7 and one pushin a L5 sounds dumb but sounds good and is very loud

$310 for a Lanzar Opti 2000d, will do 1600+ watts @ 1 ohm, can't beat that

My budget is as low as I can go on the amp. I know that sounds pretty cheap, but I dont have a lot to spend and I want to get an amp that will perform pretty well but cost very little.

And I am kind of against buying re-furbished, once they already have a problem, its always seems like they are going to have more....
