need more output... opinions desired

i have an R 15 in 4 cubes tuned to 35 off of 1200 watts... it is loud, but i'm looking for more output off of the same power... I had four 12's so you can see where i would be a bit disappointed. I figure two 15's would do me well...

which 15's though off of 12-1500rms?

Two comp VR's

Other suggestions?

only want to spend 300 or so

I only have 6 cubes to work with ported... but i like the idea of the comp vr's...

back in the days i had two CompVR 12" 2002 series ported, a friend of mine had two Alpine Type R 12" sealed. the CompVRs outperformed the R´s easily with the same power. but you cannot really compare them as the CompVRs were ported :-|

plus the compVRs changed a lot, cosmetically and technically.

i can only tell you the 2002 series with the black cones only needed around 400watts each to get loud, the type R in sealed needed 600+.

perhaps you can give a used DD3515 a try, they have a high sensitivity and will be OK with 1500. i have a 9512 and it is way louder than the two kickers or the Type Rs even it is only one 12". but go with a 15" DD 3500 series they have higher sensitivity than a 12" and you got the space so use it.

do another type r......should be more then enough for ya.......a more expensive approach would be 2 15" CVX...but ive only herd 12" not the 15" , so i cant say much exept that the 12" comp vx are loud mofos. i would assume the 15 are the same
