I misread the original post, he'll only be sending those Rockfords 400w each. I saw the 2400w and thought it was the RMS going to the subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif. But as far as the number/power issue goes, there will be noticable difference between 1 12" getting 1000w and 2 12"s getting 1000w each. If this wasn't true, people would have no reason to have multiple sub setups except for the sake of spending money.

in the exact same situation, yes. but my point is that he shouldnt buy the subs just cause its 2 opposed to 1. he can make 1 sub sound the same or better than 2. you should never buy subs based on how many you will have
