Which system is better

Hello every one. I am a complete noob so I was hoping I could get some advice from people who know their stuff. I've been doing some research and I've put together 2 systems That I think would work in my Honda civic 2005 ex coupe. one system has one big sub while the other has 2 smaller subs.

first system

2 Kicker 07TCVT12-4 ****SUB

* Sensitivity: 98 dB

* RMS Power Range : 400 Watts

* Peak Power Handling: 800 Watts

* Impedance: 4 Ohm

* Low Frequency response: 25 Hz

* High Frequency Response: 500 Hz

* Diameter: 12 Inch

Kicker 08ZX700.5 ****AMP

* 5-Channel ZX Series Amplifier

* RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 70W x 4 + 210W x 1

* RMS Power @ 2 Ohms: 85W x 4 + 420W x 1

* RMS Power Bridged @ 2 Ohms: 130W x 2 + 420W x 1

* Selectable High/Low/Full Pass filters

* 50Hz - 200Hz Crossover with 24dB

* Signal to noise: 95dB

Alpine SPS-600 *****FRONT DOOR SPEAKERS

# Sensitivity: 88 dB

# RMS Power Range : 80 Watts

# Peak Power Handling: 240 Watts

# Impedance: 4 Ohm

# Frequency response: 70-22000 Hz

# Diameter: 6.5 Inch

# Design: 2 Way

I also have a 2 farad capacitor and an installation kit. Total cost is $817

second system would be

1 Kicker 08VS12L72 ****SUB

* Sensitivity: 89 dB

* RMS Power Range : 750 Watts

* Peak Power Handling: 1500 Watts

* Impedance: 2 Ohm

* Low Frequency response: 20 Hz

* High Frequency Response: 100 Hz

* Diameter: 12 Inch

Soundstream PCA1000D *****AMP

* Peak Power Output: 2000 watts approx.

* RMS Power Ratings:

o 500 Watts x 1 Channel @ 4 Ohms

o 800 Watts x 1 Channel @ 2 Ohms

o 1000 Watts x 1 Channel @ 1 Ohm

* Min. Impedance Unbridged: 1 ohm

* THD @ Rated RMS Power: 0.5%

* Speaker Level Inputs: No

* Amp Preamp Outputs: 1 Pair

* Built-in Crossover: LP (50 - 150 Hz), Subsonic (15 - 40 Hz)

* Bass Boost: 0 - 18 dB

* Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 80 dB

* Fuse Rating: 30A x 3

* Continuously Variable Low-Pass Crossover: 50 - 150 Hz (24 dB/Oct.)

* Continuously Variable Subsonic Filter: 15 - 40 Hz (24 dB/Oct.)

* Variable Subwoofer Equalizer: 0 - 18 dB

* Phase Control: 0° / 180°

* Frequency Response: 5 - 250 Hz

* Adjustable Input Sensitivity: 0.5 - 4V

* Damping Factor: >200

* Fully Regulated MOSFET Power Supply

* PWM Circuitry

Alpine SPS-600 *****FRONT DOOR SPEAKER

# Sensitivity: 88 dB

# RMS Power Range : 80 Watts

# Peak Power Handling: 240 Watts

# Impedance: 4 Ohm

# Frequency response: 70-22000 Hz

# Diameter: 6.5 Inch

# Design: 2 Way

in order to drive the alpines above I would install a second amp

SoundStorm F2.200 ******AMP DRIVING DOOR SPEAKERS

* Max Power @ 2 Ohm: 100W x 2

* RMS Power @ 4 Ohm: 50W x 2

* Signal-To-Noise Ratio: 90dB

* THD at RMS Output: 0.01%

* Damping Factor: 125+

* Dimensions: 9"W x 2-1/16"H x 5-1/8"L

* Low Pass Crossover (Fixed, 120 Hz)

* Variable Input Gain Control

* Line and Speaker Level Inputs

* Frequency Response: 12Hz - 22kHz (+/- 3 dB)

with the installation kit and the 2 farad capacitor this system comes out to $894

I would appreciate any and all advice you guys have for me. my budget is 1000 dollars so if you guys have an even better sound system for this budget please feel free to let me know and if you think these amps are wrong for these speakers let me know also. Thanks

neither //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

2 Sundown Audio SA-12's with a Sundown Audio SAE-1200Dv2 -

and as far as the Components and Amp PM me for more details

You Really think so? Everything I've read says they are vital part of your system. My stock alternator is only pumping out 1008 watts.
i know so //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

how many amps is your stock alt?

Neither are great, especially for the price, but if I had to choose... The second one. The L7 is just that much better than the CVT. If you can, take the time and look for better products... You can get a Hifonics BXI2010D that will put out more power, for a cheaper price.

and i agree with this...muuuuch better then the two you were thinking of:cool:

one last thing. is it better to get a box and sub combo or buy the sub and box separate. I think it's a bit hard to find the best box to fit a certain sub and custom boxes are expensive. How do I go about finding the right box.

ok so with my new found knowledge I have put together another system

Infinity 629I 225W powered by a Sound Storm SSL F2.200 powered by a Dual Electronics PBA2150 Car 350W 2CH Amp

then 2 Kicker L5 12" powered by a Kenwood Excelon X1200M

What do you guys think?
