Which Sub?

I was thinking of just sticking with a one sub setup but I'm going to upgrade from my Type R to something much better. I would like to find a 12" sub that runs at 600watts rms at 2 ohms. It would help if the sub can run in a small ported enclosure but if it doesnt thats fine. If it does run in a 1.33 Cu Ft box (internal measurements) tuned to 33 Hz it would save me from building a new box. I'm willing to spend whatever it cost to make a one sub setup sound like 2 subs. I was also thinking of going to competition since I have 2 boxes. One for daily and one for competition. Thanks for the help.

I forgot to say that the depth of the sub does make a difference in my box so if you noted what the mounting depth is or tell me where I could find it, it would help. Also I want something that not only slams SQ but really puts out the SPL. SQ is less of a factor but I definately want a slamming SPL sub.

I was thinking of maybe a JL 12W6v2. I could tune the box down even further if I had too so thats not a problem. Any other suggestions?

the eD A's rms is 900 but i would say u could run it at 600 wouldnt get all of its potential though

How much louder will it be than one 12" Type R? And what is the ohms of the sub? DVC or SVC?

I just looked at ED's site and well its a dual 2 ohm sub and I cant wire it down to 2 ohms. I'm looking for more of a SPL than SQ setup more for slamming bass. Any more suggestions?

well never heard one but what i have heard on this forum they blow them away i mean i goin to get me some eDK's when they come out and are u wanting 12 inch or 10"

on the a series i dont really know the ohm

i do know the eDK's i know come in 2 ways dual 4 ohm and single 4 ohm so it comes in dvc and svc same with the 12eDK's

i dont know about the A series though

dont sound to great though

i heard the jl audio W7 are the bomb

Well I just found something heres a MA Audio MA1200XL its dual 2 ohm so I can wire to 2 ohms and its 600watts rms just exactly what I need with my Amp. Now the real question is, is this a good sub? It has a 240oz double stacked magnet, which is pretty freakin huge. Like I said before I wanted more SPL and this seems like a good deal on thezeb.com what do you guys think of this sub? Here's the site, its the 12"

those are nice subs the ma audio but i havent heard them

but i have asked this question lots of times and i keep getting the same subs thrown at me it is usually

adire audio

elemental design

and resonant engineering

wait before i do anything how much money do have to spend anyways

All the way up to $300, just depends on how fast I can sell my JL 10's and my Type R. Somewhere around $300 anyways.
