Which sub ?

you would likely be happier with a 10- better low end extention, though some 8's play quite well. I have some Kicker Solobaric 8's that pound (old school round ones) but they don't have nearly the definition, extention, or SQ of my Iridium 10. If you are interested in them pm me an offer- they are in perfect condition.

I am not interseted in pounding the neighborhood, just good sq. That is the way I have designed my system. My concern is will a 10 inch be too much?

1 10 for an SQ system will be plenty, but not too much. It also depends on the car, if it's a hatch or SUV a single 10 or 12 will be perfect, with a sedan that has the rear seat in the way, you may need more. My Iridium 10 kicks major ***, and it should for the way it pwnd my wallet.

They are located in Chicago suburb, and I live by St. Louis so doubt if I get to look at it first hand anytime soon. Infinity also comes to mine . For me sq is the key so I will try to be patient . All the posts have been quite helpful thank you.
