Which Sub? - newbie

Hey everyone! This is my first post, so let me start by thanking you all ahead of time for your wisdom and insight. I've got a 2003 ext. cab chevy silverado.( SS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif) I have an empty down-firing enclosure that houses two 12's and fits underneath my rear seats perfectly - I couldn't be happier with the design of the box. Now, it's only 1.25 cubes TOTAL, and even worse, the mounting depth has to be under 7". AND, I've already got a JL 500/1, but wouldn't be totally against buying another one. Given this info., what two subs would offer me what I'm looking for. SPL is my thing although SQ is important (I have a 12w7 in a big-*** ported box from my old car, but can't use any of it in my new truck.) Soooo....what do you guys think? I hate to say money is no object as if I'm rich, but I'll spend the money on the subs(preferably under $600 each, though) if they provide me with just what I'm looking for!

do you prefer any brands? its seems as though you like JL. if that is the case, probably like some w6v2's and another 500/1.

Yeah, I thought about the w6v2, but the mounting depth is 7.6". So, nocandoo! And, no I don't have ANY brand loyalty, If it bangs hard, I'll try it. My local soundshop suggested Image Dynamics idq 12's - anybody heard 'em? I read in another thread about magnum d2's blowing the JL w6v2's out of the water - and the mounting depth might just be right (although the interior volume of my box might not be sufficient for that particular sub - or many others for that matter)HELP!!

I believe that Magnum D2's would fit your application perfectly.... if so you will need another 500/1. The d2's will run you 300 shipped apiece and you can get another 500/1 on the internet for like 350.

If the D2's mounting depth is greater than you need, I would suggest a pair of Incriminator Audio Lethal Injections...they require 5 5/8" mouting depth and would be loud in your truck.... http://www.incriminatoraudio.com

yea, it's like that.

Although 1.25cubes is just enough for 1 sealed, so you may have to cover up the other hole.

what about running two W6's (not the W6v2's) off of your 500/1? they are only like 5-1/2" deep at the most, and they should sound pretty good in that size enclosure. or you could use W3v2's. just saying JL cause they match your amp.

Well I think each sub displaces like.. .15-.2 cubes each,so then your 1.25 cube box is now down to about .85 or so..and I dont know about putting 2 magnums in a box that small.
