I'd run either the MT or the DP in a heartbeat over a DD 9500 daily...

as for custom coils... depends on who you are, and what you can do...

any of the above listed woofers can be coiled with lots of different options..

what it boils down to.... is it worth it for this person?...

But its not a 95, its a 99. So in terms of power handling and daily, its up to the 9915 and MT 15".

9915 is an even bigger turd for daily use... can't exactly figure out why somebody would want one for daily use... instead of the 9515... but whatever.. not my money...

there isn't an issue with the coils... there's an issue with everyone wanting a different coil, and the circumstances usually aren't justified..

no offense to anyone.. but you can't just call up precision and ask for 1-2 custom coils... you have to buy at least a 10 coil run.. which is over $100 bucks + shipping.. so that's why I said what I did above..

1800 watts of actual power? or putting an 1800 watt amp on it? big difference there..

he means once the coils heat up will they actually be seeing 1800. probability is slim

Ahhh. Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. What coils do the DPs come in?

they are generally sold as a dual 2 ohm woofer..

Well I only have enough money to spend on one woofer. I can get each for about the same price.

So you think the DP could handle then 1800w from an amp?

between the DD and MT for daily usage, I'd choose the MT..
