Hey all, I purchased an Image Dynamics IDQ 12" sub on eBay for $75 but it looks like I am trying to be scammed so it's time to choose a sub. I have about $150 to spend on it. The amp I purchased was the Kicker KX550.3 amp, with the following power ratings:

RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 70W x 2 + 210W x 1

Bridged RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 165W x 1 + 420W x 1

I am mainly looking for a SQL setup, leaning more towards the SPL side (looking for a decent sounding sub but with a decent amount of boom as well).

Thanks.

I saw someone on here was selling a pair of RE SE 10" subs and was wondering if I could get one of them, if that would be the way to go?

Thanks.

Also CarDomain is selling Image Dynamics IDQ12 D4 v.2 Renewed for $120. Should I go with this sub? How is the SPL on the sub? Ive heard the SQ is exceptional. Would you recommend the MTX 7500 for what I am trying to get?

Up, I think the Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection costs too much for my budget.

Also, you think the lower-priced ID subs are better than the IDQ's? I am looking for a SPL comparison between the two bc I know of ID's great sound quality.

Thanks

Your amp is rated 85x2 at 2 ohms and 420x1 at 2 ohms.

It would like some more power but with 400 watts, should get going pretty well.

I am leaning more towards the IDQ 12" more than any other sub because of the great reviews on CarDomain and on other prices. It is currently at the same price (when it is renewed)of the 7500 on eBay (both are $120). Both contain 90 day warranties so what do you guys think would be the better sub?

Also, if I get the dual 4 ohm version, I can run 420 watts into the sub right and the remaining power into the pair of speakers?

Thanks.

the MTX will give you more bang for your buck over the IDQ

it will have more balls, and more slam - IDQ is a great sub dont get me wrong

but youll need 2 IDQs to get the output of a 1 7500 - Im not saying the 7500 will be like 2 IDQs,but close

How is the SQ on the 7500 though?
My bro has 2 10" 7500 and they get pretty dam low, pretty dam loud and the sound pretty dam good while doing it. There newer woofers have actually surpised me.

I must agree at $120 for a new 7500 12, thats an awesome deal. As for the Se I would prolly steer clear of it. I'm not even sure how well the 7500 will do off of 400 watts.
