Which setup would you pick?

I'm finally upgrading from my old Infiity 1230 subs to something newer/better to run of my Kicker SX1250.1 (birthsheet at 1440 watts rms).

I'm tossed up between a single 12" SSA Xcon or two Mach5 IXL 10's, a ported box will be ordered from Thumpper (aka Trevor) of Pound that Sound so they will be in well built boxes. It's going in the trunk of my car.. see user name for details there. I'm looking for a good SQL setup. I also have 150 watts going to a set of Alpine Type-X Components for front stage.

I'd personally go with 1 properly powered woofer than 2 under powered...

I think, you would be MUCH happier with the one 12 inch. It will have better tone and spl.
